This spreadsheet is designed as a guide to help you work out the bulk density of your product and the maximum loading per tray for our Cuddon Freeze Dryers. All yellow highlighted cells are changeable allowing for your input.
1. To find the bulk density of your product fill a vessel like a container or tray with your product and measure the width and length of the vessel. Also measure the height of the product in the vessel. Ideally to be more accurate, try to use a large tray and only fill to 20mm high. This is the most efficient thickness when freeze drying.
